उदी॑राथामृताय॒ते यु॒ञ्जाथा॑मश्विना॒ रथ॑म् अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"ROUSE ye for him who keeps the Law, yoke your steeds, Aṣvins, to your car Let your protecting help be near."
नि॒मिष॑श्चि॒ज्जवी॑यसा॒ रथे॒ना या॑तमश्विना अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Come, Aṣvins, with your car more swift than is the twinkling of an eye Let your protecting help be near."
उप॑ स्तृणीत॒मत्र॑ये हि॒मेन॑ घ॒र्मम॑श्विना अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Aṣvins, ye overlaid with cold the fiery pit for Atri's sake: Let your protecting help be near."
कुह॑ स्थः॒ कुह॑ जग्मथुः॒ कुह॑ श्ये॒नेव॑ पेतथुः अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Where are ye? whither are ye gone? whither, like falcons, have ye flown? Let your protecting help be near."
यद॒द्य कर्हि॒ कर्हि॑ चिच्छुश्रू॒यात॑मि॒मं हव॑म् अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"If ye at any time this day are listening to this my call, Let your protecting help be near."
अ॒श्विना॑ याम॒हूत॑मा॒ नेदि॑ष्ठं या॒म्याप्य॑म् अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"The Aṣvins, fust to hear our prayer, for closest kinship I approach: Let your protecting help be near."
अव॑न्त॒मत्र॑ये गृ॒हं कृ॑णु॒तं यु॒वम॑श्विना अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"For Atri ye, O Aṣvins, made a dwellingplace to shield him well, Let your protecting help be near."
वरे॑थे अ॒ग्निमा॒तपो॒ वद॑ते व॒ल्ग्वत्र॑ये अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Ye warded off the fervent heat for Atri when he sweetly spake: Let your protecting help be near."
प्र स॒प्तव॑ध्रिरा॒शसा॒ धारा॑म॒ग्नेर॑शायत अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Erst Saptavadbri by his prayer obtained the trenchant edge of fire: Let your protecting help be near."
इ॒हा ग॑तं वृषण्वसू शृणु॒तं म॑ इ॒मं हव॑म् अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Come hither, O ye Lords of wealth, and listen to this call of mine: Let your protecting help be near."
किमि॒दं वां॑ पुराण॒वज्जर॑तोरिव शस्यते अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"What is this praise told forth of you as Elders in the ancient way? Let your protecting help be near."
स॒मा॒नं वां॑ सजा॒त्यं॑ समा॒नो बन्धु॑रश्विना अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"One common brotherhood is yours, Aṣvins your kindred is the same: Let your protecting help be near."
यो वां॒ रजां॑स्यश्विना॒ रथो॑ वि॒याति॒ रोद॑सी अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"This is your chariot, Aṣvins, which speeds through the regions, earth and heaven: Let your protecting aid be near."
आ नो॒ गव्ये॑भि॒रश्व्यैः॑ स॒हस्रै॒रुप॑ गच्छतम् अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Approach ye hitherward to us with thousands both of steeds and kine : Let your protecting help be near."
मा नो॒ गव्ये॑भि॒रश्व्यैः॑ स॒हस्रे॑भि॒रति॑ ख्यतम् अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"Pass us not by, remember us with thousands both of kine and steeds; Let your protecting help be near."
अ॒रु॒णप्सु॑रु॒षा अ॑भू॒दक॒र्ज्योति॑र्ऋ॒ताव॑री अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"The purple tinted Dawn hath risen, and true to Law hath made the light: Let your protecting help be near."
अ॒श्विना॒ सु वि॒चाक॑शद्वृ॒क्षं प॑रशु॒माँ इ॑व अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"He looked upon the Aṣvins, as an axe-armed man upon a tree: Let your protecting help be near."
पुरं॒ न धृ॑ष्ण॒वा रु॑ज कृ॒ष्णया॑ बाधि॒तो वि॒शा अन्ति॒ षद्भू॑तु वा॒मवः॑
"By the black band encompassed round, break it down, bold one, like a fort. Let your protecting help be near."
